That One Wink Before Last Call

Listen close.

Now listen closer. Not with your ears. Listen with everything else you know. Listen with that part of yourself that makes you who you are. That part that divides the vanilla from the things that go bump and womp in the night.
This is the last painting of Vincent VanGogh. Consider how you felt  prior to knowing what this was. A suicide note: Vinnie did suffer from mental health issues. A catalyst for solitude: His brother had received letters from him with Vinnie conveying his happiness at the time of this painting. Or just a wink before last call.
Consider now how u feel about the people you love.
Not all that glitters is gold. But love the ones you feel are golden.
They could end up crows in a wheat field.
